Socially Speaking – March 2013
All British Day at the Echunga Oval was a great day for all. With 880 British Cars to look at, food and fairs to be enjoyed by all. Great new venue and beaut weather all added to the day. A huge thank you to Arrand Ellery and those who assisted in any way to set up our club display.
Bob Cini has volunteered to join me on the ABD Committee next year to keep our club presence and involvement strong.
Ladies lunch held on the 12th February at the new venue Adelina’s Café at Burnside Civic Centre was also a good move. Numbers were up and a good time was had by all. Next meeting will be at the same venue on 9th April.
Next mid week run is an afternoon run on 6th March followed by Sunday 17th March to Tenafeate Creek winery at One Tree Hill where we have enjoyed good food and fellowship before – my son Dean and wife Tammy have set this run – their very first attempt at setting a club run.
April 21st is a must diary date for our Annual Breakfast run which this year will be Brunch.
Margie and I have been busy organising this year’s annual weekender and have put together what we believe to be a fabulous program for this year. Some very interesting places to visit and great accommodation are just some of the highlights. Look for flyer this edition of Trak and book early!
Birthday greetings to Tricia Lill, Bob Cini, Angela Williams, Rory Gibson, Bryan Young, Bill Smith, Aaron Maynard and Vicki Langdon.
’til next time
